It’s always a pleasure to see mister Luigi LaMonica work the game. The clip we’re about to show you is quite interesting to see. Let’s sit back and watch some replays to see what is happening and think what would we call? How do we think the crew is handeling the situation?? It’s a worldcup quarter final between France and Spain, almost halfway the third quarter. Lees verder “What do you think about the calls and how the crew handles the situation?”
Very nice new site in Germany

Charge or block? Or even something else?
It’s always nice to see that players know signals for referees 😉 . The question here is actually: what would be the best call and why??? Let’s not get into the double call in this situation. Mechanics are for another day.

What will you call and why?
It’s a great honour to see that our clipping hero Sam Subby is sharing his clips amongst others on our facebook forum. And especially this one, after our post earlier on about advantage/disadvantage. So let’s hear it folks, what will you call and why? Lees verder “What will you call and why?”
Advantage/disadvantage
The video we found and embedded in this article might be a dangerous one. The rules of our sport are clear so it’s just a matter of observing what happens right? Well. Guess again. Nobody comes to the gym to hear a bunch of zebra’s blow their instruments more often than the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. You have to be smart in what to call, and consistent. We strongly and firmly believe that covering your violations will make life much easier on you and your crew. That is nót an invitation to be triggerhappy and shoot on everything that looks like a violation. Check the video and take some time to contemplate on how you call your violations and fouls. The difference between Goaltending and Interference
Off course: preseason ruletests are pretty far away. It’s only April and all our minds are probably still subconsciously awaiting playoff nominations, but you can never know a rule too good. Therefor a little question: Can you tell us the difference between goaltending and interference from the top of your mind? If not, check this video. Wyatt Anders, thanks for notifying us! What will you call?
We love the shirts in the following clip, here at Officiating’s Cool Headquarters. And to be honest we love the clip too because it’s bound to cause some intense debate too we think. What will you call and why??? Unsportsmanlike or Regular personal foul? Lees verder “What will you call?”

Training during COVID19
As in most countries all sports venues are closed we have big off season to overcome. As we noticed a lot of people are already working out inside their homes and we salute you all. Our friends at FIBA put together a training guide for referees at home. It’s below here. Use it as an inspiration or even the direction to start new season in the best shape of your career.
