Awesome clip from our collegues at weref.it. The team in white puts in a funny looking pressbreaker that has everybody puzzled. I wonder what our visitors think. Is it legal yes or no and why? Lees “Legal or not?” verder

Travel or not? FIBA rules!

We are very curious. People seem not to agree on this one. What is your call? Lees “Travel or not? FIBA rules!” verder
Great Call!
Just check this tape. It’s an awesome job by the lead referee. But would you have come up with the same call?? Lees “Great Call!” verder
Teamwork!
In a crew of referees you are never alone. Make sure you are on the same page by creating a solid pregame talk. Make sure you know how to act in situations. The following clip shows a nice example of teamwork. Let’s check it and contemplate: Would we have called the same as the crew in the clip?? Would we have contacted our partner to upgrade the foul? What’s your decision??

You need to go where you got to go to see what you got to see. We should print it on t-shirts (hmm, not such a bad idea). And don’t only follow the ball please! You might miss some things! Let us know what your call would have been! Lees “What’s your decision??” verder

No charge zone… explained !
Since a couple of years we’re dealing with the no charge semi circle as the official wording is in the official rules. Took a while for me to build it into my system I have to confess (and I know some people think I still haven’t mastered it yet 🙂 )
Peter Smith uploaded a great video with good and decent explanation. Mind you: the rules have already changed a bit: a defender should have at least one foot in or on the area to be in the required spot! Lees “No charge zone… explained !” verder
Traveling – Let’s get it right!
I’m sure that everybody studied the new traveling rules over last summers, and let’s be honest: we know better than coaches and players who are complaining. Let me ask that one again: Do we really?
Peter McDonald made a great video about the new traveling rules. It’s a nice refresh for all us refs and even for players and coaches. Great work Peter! Lees “Traveling – Let’s get it right!” verder
