Charge/block – tell us what you have!
We all know the criteria right?? And as you start watching this clip for the first time, it’s easy to yell at your computerscreen/tablet : ‘Charge!’ .Ā We did too at headquarters.Ā Legal Guarding position, facing the opponent, contact on the torso (well… not very much contact perhaps but still)…
And then we checked the tape again… doubt setting in. In a few days our call will be online on this site. Check back to see our answer and reasoning behind it. Lees verder “Charge/block – tell us what you have!”
What’s your decision and why?
Our collegues from Refmate started a nice tradition on their channel last year, but it did not get a whole lot of views. Too bad!! Because the following link is quite interesting. Travel or not?
Lets please not forget that the changes in traveling rule do not apply to players that are not moving!! Check the clip from Sam Subby under ‘lees verder’ and lets congratulate the referee on his good positioning. Do you think he needed the assistance from the coach behind him? š

Block Charge flop? Or even something else?
We never can say it enough: Thank you Sam Subby for the awesome clips you select and upload. Without your effort we would recognize less situations and therefor be less skilled referees. This one is a very nice and difficult clip. Are you going for Block, Charge, Flop or perhaps even a no-call? We’d love to read your opinion! Lees verder “Block Charge flop? Or even something else?”
CABO Points of Emphasis
We think it’s smart to sometimes just dive into the rulebook and refresh some pages.Ā Yes, we are happy that there are organisations as Basketball Canada that make a clip out of it to play it on our headset while driving home after work. ;-)Click on’lees verder’to see the presentation they made Lees verder “CABO Points of Emphasis”
