Denys Povorozniuk takes court for Men U20 division B

One of the referees taking part in the Europeans MU20 division B in Tbilisi is Ukrainian referee Denys Povorozniuk. Last year he made his FIBA debut in the challengers that were held during the summer, and today his Championships career takes off as he is nominated for Sweden versus Kosovo. He will team up with Ventsislav Velikov from Bulgarije and Petr Blahout from Czechia.

Three community members in one quarter final!

Special Occasion today in Debrecen where three community members form the crew for a Worldcup Quarter final! Esperanza Mendoza will administer the tipoff at 17.30 for the clash between Hungary and Canada WU17. She will be accompanied by Carsten Straube from Germany and Alan Tiago from Brazil. Manniste Mouton and Van Slooten experienced crew for U20 opener

Bert van Slooten was one of the coaches on our very first Eyeopener Camp way back in 2015. Today his summer begins with the MU20 divB game between Albania and Switzerland. It’s a high level crew he will take part in because Estonian Mikhel Manniste is the crewchief while Marc Mouton from Luxembourg complements them both to make it a three men crew. Tipoff for the livestream is at 16.45 while the link off course is available for on demand viewing afterwards as well.

Last genomineerd voor Finland Lithouwen

Onze eigen Tijmen Last heeft late dienst vanavond in Sopron. Hij mag om 19.45 uur aantreden voor de wedstrijd tussen Lithouwen en Finland. Beide teams hebben 2 wedstrijden gewonnen en 3 verloren. Finland versloeg Ierland afgelopen woensdag terwijl Lithouwen na overtime te sterk was voor Nederland. Crewchief voor deze ontmoeting is de Ierse Emma Perry terwijl Ruslan Khaligov uit Azerbeijan de derde naam is voor het trio dat de wedstrijd in goede banen zal proberen te gaan leiden.

Belousova and Kowalski get to officiate together #streamalert

Anna Belousova and Karol Kowalski have been nominated for the classification game (5th to 8th place) between Hungary and Serbia at 15.45 today. Both teams coming off clear losses, Hungary went down in quarters facing Spain and Italie proved way to strong for Serbia. Both teams had a three game winning streak snapped in the quarter finals.

Matuszewska in for semi final WU20

Moneytime is approaching in the European Championships WU20 in Sopron. At 18.00 today the first semifinal with defending champion Italy and perennial contender Spain will feature our community member Ewa Matuszewska from Poland along with Gintaras Maciulis from Lithuania and crewchief Ilias Kounelles from Cyprus. Both team went perfect in the tournament so far!

Wywers on duty in final game of today #livestreamalert

At the end of the day in Skopje there’s a classification match in which we get to see Lynn Weiwers again. She’s part of the crew for the Romania versus Slovakia matchup.
